How the score is calculated

Score model 1.0. The score has three parts and 100 points. Eticko calculates it on the iPhone from Open Food Facts data.

PartPointsHow
Nutritionup to 60Energy, sugars, saturated fat and salt lower it; fibre, protein, fruit and vegetables raise it. Per 100 g, using the 2023 nutrition algorithm of Santé publique France.
Additivesup to 30Points are deducted for additives with high or moderate risk according to EFSA, and for additives on the ANSES list.
Organic0 or 10Certified organic (EU logo on pack).

A product with an additive of high risk, or with nutrition in the lowest class, scores at most 49. When data is missing, the app shows no score or a provisional one and says what is missing.
